Officine Gullo is an Italian excellence in the production of luxury metal kitchens, professional cooking ranges and kitchen accessories, born from the enlightened vision and passion of its founder, Carmelo Gullo, now joined at the helm of the company by his three sons Pietro, Andrea and Matteo.
The Florentine company, an expression of artisanal savoir-faire and technological innovation, creates its products exclusively from noble metals such as brass, copper and steel and according to Florentine artisanal traditions. The result of this approach is an aesthetic balanced between the classic and the contemporary, the most authentic expression of a great craft culture.
Officine Gullo was founded in Florence, where Dr Carmelo Gullo, with the contribution of local mechanical workshops and artisan bronze workers, developed bespoke kitchens and accessories that inherited the noble tradition of 19th-century Florentine kitchen makers, working noble metals such as high-thickness stainless steel, burnished copper, cast iron and brass. From the very beginning, Officine Gullo luxury kitchens were made unique by their finishes in the finest metals, crafted entirely by hand.
The fully metal kitchen, made to measure for stately villas, had for centuries been one of the most significant expressions of Florentine craftsmanship. During the 19th century, with the development of the steel industry, many art foundries in the Florentine area specialised in producing fine metal kitchens, becoming a benchmark for the upper middle classes throughout Europe.
A nearly forgotten tradition, which Dr Carmelo Gullo brought back to life, carefully recovering the forms, materials and techniques of the past and combining them with the most modern technologies for cooking and food preservation, drawn directly from haute cuisine.
