Metal and Tailoring

The Perfect Pairing

At Officine Gullo, material and beauty, research and luxury, craftsmanship and design coexist. More than a brand, it is a true workshop: a place where the human hand transforms raw materials into timeless creations, with the same care and mastery as in the past.

At Officine Gullo, every kitchen begins with authentic raw materials, worked to measure within the workshop according to the client’s specifications. Even colours do not follow standard palettes, but are created ad hoc, inspired by personal details such as a car finish or an upholstery fabric.
This is the vision of tailoring: shaping unique creations in which excellence and identity merge without compromise.

A Gift to Future Generations

The Antiques of Tomorrow

Thanks to the use of extremely durable materials, Officine Gullo kitchens are designed to stand the test of time without losing either value or functionality. While the average lifespan of a kitchen ranges from ten to fifteen years, an Officine Gullo metal kitchen is designed to last virtually forever. Buying one means making a choice that goes beyond the present: it is an investment to be handed down, meant to be enjoyed today and preserved by future generations. An act of trust in time itself.

“At Officine Gullo, we build with the long term in mind, a timespan measured not in “usage cycles” but in generations. We imagine objects destined to evolve, to be updated, handed down, never abandoned. Every creation is born to live today and, tomorrow, to belong to the truest antiques. The solidity, beauty and purity of materials lie at the heart of our craft. In every detail coexist the Florentine tradition of metal forging and an untiring pursuit of functionality and harmony: the same drive towards perfection that, over the centuries, guided the artisans of our city in creating unique and inimitable works. We are proud to engrave our name on what is born in our workshops, certain that this name will continue to exist with dignity, side by side with our creations, as they move through time and the homes of those who live with them.”

Metal as the Protagonist

Prestigious materials with extraordinary qualities that recall a rich tradition are selected and crafted by hand in substantial thicknesses ranging from 2 to 7 mm, for a result of unquestionable and timeless appeal.

Steel

Stainless steel takes centre stage in the kitchen for both aesthetics and performance: a symbol of strength and modernity, it is unalterable, resistant to high temperatures and ideal for practical, long-lasting everyday use.

Copper

One of the oldest and most durable metals, copper is prized for its strength, warm hues and elegance. Used since Roman times, copper is a natural, bacteriostatic and malleable metal.

Brass

A noble and decorative material, brass combines ductility, strength and aesthetic appeal. Its warm tones make it suitable for every style, from classic to contemporary, bringing personality and harmony to interiors.

Discover Our Craftsmanship

Silver soldering

Metals continue to be soldered by hand for Officine Gullo products because only the human eye can spot details that machinery is still unable to see.

Lathing

Lathing

Handcrafted products such as solid brass bars are shaped using a lathe. Every piece is shaped and worked on the lathe before entering into production.

Burnishing

Burnishing is always performed by hand to darken and lighten surfaces simultaneously, evoking slight ageing on the metal surface. The beauty of brass means that it changes with time, proudly revealing its age.

Powder coating metal kitchens

Powder coating

The technology used to paint the kitchen structure is the same used in the car world. The result is a robust finish that withstands acidity and impact much more than traditional paints.

All Officine Gullo products can be personalized by engraving designs or decorations dear to the customer on panels and handles.

Crafting recessed washbasins

Crafting recessed washbasins

Officine Gullo washbasins are welded by hand. Unlike industrial production in which metal plates are thinned in the pressing stage, Officine Gullo washbasins are made exclusively from high-thickness metal.

Hand hammering

Hand hammering

Hand hammering on the trim and panels accentuates the texture of the metal and achieves unique weave.

Steel work surfaces

Steel work surfaces

Compared with industrialized modular and standard techniques, our manufacturing takes inspiration from the ancient art of bronze smiths, enabling differently sized high-thickness surfaces up to 4mm, which are folded and welded nonstop as one continuous flat work surface, measuring up to 4 metres long.

Cerniere Esterne

Trim

Trim

Manufactured in brass, like the rod that runs the entire length of the kitchen, useful for holding utensils and pots during the various cooking stages, like in the kitchens in old noble villas.

Baseboards

Officine Gullo cooking ranges are equipped with powder-coated baseboards and adorned with brass details. They are reminiscent of the baseboards of old cast-iron stoves, now made more functional as they can be removed for easy cleaning.
