The spirit of our project was to win new markets in line with the new global economy, which is shaping changes that would have been unthinkable up to 10 years ago. In particular, the project focused on four main directions: CHINA, DUBAI, RUSSIA and THE UNITED STATES.
To understand our project, a number of driving factors need to be combined, which are in principle aligned with trends in the real estate market, a key driver for the furniture sector, and with the economic performance of the target countries, which justifies the purchase of the high-end products we market in those countries.
As regards GDP, both China and the United States are showing strong recovery and we therefore decided to invest in these countries, while at the same time opportunities opened up in DUBAI and in RUSSIA (a particularly important country for national exports in our sector, that of luxury furniture), making it possible to redirect some investments, linked to the opening of showrooms, precisely to these latter markets.
Federal tax incentives in the USA, which have restarted the property sector, especially the luxury segment, have also been important.
With these thoroughly positive assumptions, the creation of a partnership to win new space was the natural continuation for companies that have known each other for a long time and wish to share both the burdens and the honours of conquering new markets.
The planned activities followed a format that we want to replicate in several markets, so as to extend it to other countries that will prove interesting in the coming years, starting with showrooms as the heart of the project.
The activities carried out were:
– Opening showrooms in China, Dubai, Russia and the United States;
– Creation of a promotional website in Chinese, Turkish, Russian and English;
– Organisation of events, both locally and as incoming initiatives in Italy;
– Participation in trade fairs in the target countries and also in Russia.
